Jared Boyd earned his degree in mechanical engineering at Oklahoma State University. Upon college graduation he quickly realized the necessity of discovering a productive hobby. He was at the Blue Dome Arts festival in 2015 in downtown Tulsa, OK, when he discovered a local artist's work that really moved him. He decided that day he was going to take art lessons for the first time, ultimately discovering his passion for art. In 2016, after experimenting with different styles and mediums, he took an abstract workshop with local abstract artist Cynthia Brown. It was after that workshop that he discovered a natural affinity to abstract art. Since then he has participated in a number of local shows including his own solo show at the Dennis Neil Equality Center in April 2017. In 2018 he traveled to Santa Fe to attend a workshop with nationally acclaimed abstract artist Charlotte Foust. He is committed to continue to grow as an artist and encourages others to support artists in their community.
