David Ma

David Ma was born on April 16, 1961 in Changchun, China. Ma comes from long history of talented artists. His father was a member of the Changchun Province Artist Association. Ma knew at an early age that he possessed a strong talent. At the age of 16, he won his high school's Award of National Public School Drawing. In 1985, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Changchun Institute majoring in oil painting. His techniques are characterized by the use of brushes and a palette knife to create a solid but soft texture. His contemporary abstract painting expresses his versatility.

Ma is a member of the Changchun Artist Association. His work was displayed at the Changchun Province National Exhibition, the Chinese National Art Exhibition, the CNB Artist Group Exhibitions in Beijing, and the 3rd Asia Country Exhibition in China, the 7th National Fine Art Exhibition. His popularity continues to grow more and more as his paintings are exhibited around the world.
