Ann Louise

Korean-Chinese artist Ann Louise was born in Yanbian, China in 1971 as Ann Chung. Ann majored in art at Yanbian University, where she developed an abstract style using subdued colors. In the early 2000s, her work was exhibited in many U.S. galleries, and she became known for her semi-abstract landscapes of cloudy skies. Since then, she has grown popular in the U.S. and has participated in the New York Art Expo several times. Her work has also been exhibited in her home country at the Beijing Minority Race Art Expo (2002), the Beijing Oil Painting Academic Society Sketch Contest (2006), and the Songzhang Art Show (2007-2012). Her paintings are distinct for their soft color scheme, gentle brushwork, and grand scale.
